What is the prognosis of a 22 year old with a spinal tumour?!
Question: Friend's daughter, too distressed for me to get any detail, would like some idea to help support her.
She's having surgery tomorrow in the hope of removing it. 'philanoma' is name of tumour.
Any info/advice would be great.

Whatever type of tumour your friends daughter has got, I'm sure that they will have all the support that they need at present. They will have been given ample information about the surgery, including the risks. It may well be that they don't wish to discuss it with anyone, since until the surgery is over it's probably impossible to give a prognosis.
Why not send a card or some flowers to let them know that you care,or cook a meal or shop for them? Support comes in many forms.
I do hope that things are not as grim as you fear - bear in mind that the word 'tumour' covers both non-malignant and malignant. I'm sure your friends will let you know what's what when they feel ready.

Typical modern medical approaches to cancer treatment tend to be barbaric and/or toxic.

Spinal cancers are quite rare and difficult ones due to the proximity to the spinal chord and so many important nerves therefore surgery is fraught with risk in most cases.
There are some exciting developments in the understanding of cancer, although outside of the current mainstream thinking. For example -- the idea that all cancers are essentially caused by parasites (theories extending from Dr Hulda Clark) that can be cleansed form the system with effort and such cleanses have achieved some remarkable successes (although the approach is derided by the conventional medics this derision is countermanded by many testimonials of success. Hulda Clark's clinic is in Mexico)...But maybe even more fascinating:
This theory interestingly intersects with the thinking of people like Dr Rob Young, who claims that all such illness (indeed all major illness) stems from over acidity of the system. Over acidity also leads to pleo-morphism of the bodies own cells (they can change into harmful forms) including what might be seen as parasitic forms. In a way, if the blood becomes toxically acid then the cells protect themselves by changing into forms which ironically can lead to illness in the whole system. This acidity generally accrues due to poor diet along with psycho-emotional stress and other such physically-negative factors.

This is a terribly brief summary and you NEED to read and/or pass on some of the very hopeful research for consideration by your friend. The prognosis could be much better than conventional medicine tends to imply

Being that I am not a dr I will say that if she is having surgery tomorrow I am sure her family has checked out the surgeon and choosen him as he was the best choice there for for you the best thing to due is pray for the young lady and the surgeon that God guides his hands you could call local churches and have her added to a pray chain over night they will pray for both. Spinal surgery is common place these days it is the tumor that would be the concern cancer is always a concern for us but give thm your support be there for them and pray with your heart.
