Will I eventually lose my voice completely ?!
Question: I have a cold right now and my throat hurts really bad . I'm beginning to lose my voice a little , it's getting really hard for me to talk . If this continues will I eventually lose my voice completely ? If so , how can I stop this ? What can I do to make my voice better ?

Try to sooth your throat with warm liquids, chloraseptic helps as do teas w/honey. Gargling with salt water to treat the inflamation in your throat may help the best. (one tsp. salt in 6oz warm/hot water - dont swallow)Try not testing your voice, (talk less) I doubt you'll lose your voice completely, don't strain, speak quietly. But have patience you'll be back to normal soon. Get some rest.
If you have a hard time taking in fluids or have difficulty breathing you should see a dr.

First of all do you smoke? if so stop. try sucking on a lemon and keep your throat lubricated with the soothers, not the cough drops, they help a lot, if that doesnt work i suggest you just go to the doctor it may or may not be as serious as you think
