this happened to my mom recently. it was mostly because of stress. now, if we are thinking of the same thing here, it is NOT A BIG DEAL. what would happen to her is her heart would beat in irregular patterns occasionaly. she said it would not hurt her, it was just "uncomfortable" and "different". I hope this answer calms you down a little. Her stress has gone down a lot so this happens VERY little now. If this does not answer your question or if you still feel worried and uncomforted by this answer, then it NEVER hurts to see a doctor. remember that. once you feel the irregular heart beat patterns you can go to the emergency room, but they will need some sort of proof. well, i hope everything goes well.

A myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when blood supply to a part of the heart muscle is blocked off, causing severe damage in the area. Men and people with a family history of heart disease are more likely to suffer from heart attacks. The risk further increases with age, high blood pressure, smoking, high blood cholesterol and obesity. Whether it be mild or accute, a heart attack is a medical emergency. About one=third of the people who have heart attacks die.
SYMPTONS;
Angina- chest pain resulting from the lack of oxygen reaching the heart.

-mild to severe crushing pain that starts in the chest and may extend to the jaws,back and arms, usually the left arm. The pain occurs when the heart works harder than normal, e.g., due to emotional or physical stress, heavy meals or exposure to extreme heat or cold.
thus needing more oxygen. Relief comes after a short rest.
-breathing difficulty
-dizziness,nausea
-sweating

HEART ATTACK;
-Sudden pain,as inj angina, but more severe and prolonged (exceeding 30 mins.) does not ease the pain.
-Dizziness, nausea, vomiting.
-Shock (paleness,rapid breathing,cold sweat, clammy skin, drowziness, fast pulse rate, and loss of consciousness).

Angina has often been described as a heavy feeling or aching, burning, fullness and squeezing. The symptoms often resemble those of heartburn or indigestion. Get emergency treatment if the feeling lasts for more than about 15 minutes. There are other places that the discomfort or pain can be felt including the left shoulder (because your heart is on the left side of your body), arms, neck, throat, jaw or even your back.
