contact the hospital your mum should have had her operation at. Ask to speak to the PALS team and complain to them

Is there no way you can go private with medical treatment- your insurence might pay some of the cost.

Belive it or not but you have to complain in writing to the Hospital involved. If you have no response you have to complain to the Area NHS Trust, again if you have no response you can complain to the Ombudsman. I GAVE UP

I read online that it is 9 months at the moment but they're trying to reduce it to 6 months.
Good luck to you and your mum =]

Contact your local M.P.
It's what they are there for.

I wonder if your mum's doctor is aware how long she is having to wait for her operation? I believe there are guidelines about waiting times, although the waiting can be longer for some operations than it is for others.

Assuming you have the same doctor as your mum, perhaps you could make an appoinment to see him/her to discuss your worries.

Good luck, and I do hope your mum doesn't have to wait much longer.
