You can't get herpes from somebody who does not have it.
On the other hand, some people have herpes but they don't know about it because they have no symptoms, they're just carriers. So you could have it or your boyfriend could have it and nobody would know.

As far as the spreading of anything because your lips are cut...I don't think it's the thing you should worry about since any holes in your body (mouth, nose, ears, eyes and the other three...) is a welcome door for anything you can catch. (that's why you should not rub your eyes or put your fingers in your mouth or nose...).

So you can get facial herpes by just kissing somebody who has it, knowingly or not, even if you have no cuts.

In fact, a lot of people now get STD in their mouth instead of the usual place because of BJ. So now, you can catch a good old case of gonorrhea just by kissing somebody! How nice!

Take care of your lips. Drink lots of water. I have the same problem, in winter with the heat on. I use chapstick but also I hydrate my lips twice a day with those eye creams, specially formulated for sensitive skin (I use revitalizing eye gel from Olay and it works wonders).

No , i think your good to blow.

IF you have Herpes (all cold sores are Herpes Simplex 1, but chapped dry lips are not), then you can pass it on to anyone that you have oral contact with.

Not sure if I understood you correctly, because you said you were both clean. Do you already have herpes? If you have it, then there is a chance that you can pass it along if your lips do crack.

Chances of spreading herpes 1 (cold sores) to the genitals is around 10%. But if you are both clean the why the question.

if you don't have oral herpes, you can't give it to anyone, even if your lips crack and bleed. If you do have oral herpes, and the occasional cold sore, you should never participate in oral sex, because the virus is active and shedding for up to a week before a cold sore shows up and for as much as three weeks after a lesion has completely healed. So you never know when you are contagious.

Only if you have an active herpes sore (cold sore).

Girl, get some CarMex. Drink more water. That will help your lips from cracking.

Nope. He can get AIDS, though.

You have a lucky boyfriend!

Cheers!

if you both do not have herpes, or any other virues, or bacterial infection it is finee!
dont worry!!

First of all, you should be waiting until you get married to have sex. Second, 45% of all Herpes cases are the result of oral sex. He should ALWAYS wear a condom and you should ALWAYS wear a dental dam. Even then, the odds are good he'll get herpes sooner or later.
