yes it is a mineral oit.Isopariffin is an alkane, a group of hydrocarbons commonly known as paraffins.I have avoided skin products containing paraffin for many years as I believe them to be toxivc and possibly cancer causing although I haven't read any studies on this.

it's a wax.
