Swollen calves and extreme pain?!

Question: I am 27 years old female.
Problem: about 7 month ago, I started to get huge painful leg cramp with swelling behing my calf the pain was from my knee and extended down into the calf, and was very painful to walk on. It lasted a few days mostly in those moenings. Since then, I have had it every month (ish). But for 3 days now the cramping behind the knee/calf has been fairly continous even during the day and the swellin/cramping is not gettin better. Possibly related to this is that I have had continous leg pain(without cramping) for 4 months now. I do not have a lump behind my knee, though, only sometimes a very slight puffiness/hot feeling and a blue vein is stickin out on the back of 1 calf (not the other one, altho both are hurtin n swolen). The calfs are also somewhat tender/ sore to touch at the back and sides with alot of lumpy type areas....plz someone helpas iv been for a ultrasound week ago but it showedb ok but my legs were ok again at that time x

go back to your doctor and explain all these symptoms. please dont take any blood thinning medication especially aspirin before being seen by your GP.
you may be allergic to it and if you have any blood clotting problems or gastroenteric problems then you may cause more damageit could be a few things and therefore you need a definite diagnosis.

Hi - you really need to get checked out because this could potentially be a very dangerous deep vein thrombosis. Maybe speak to your doctor about taking asprin or something else to thin your blood.
Good luck peacex

It definately could be a DVT, deep vein thrombosis. Although, it could also be peripheral artery disease since it is in both legs. There are many things that could be wrong...but from my experience, it is possible to have an undetected clot. I have had 3 in my left leg total, and the first one went for months until it finally broke apart and I got them in my lungs...that's whey they finally figured out what was going on with my leg. I would continue to ask about the DVT, just to be safe. It's not something to play with.
