I was wondering what is a good over the counter acne products to use on sensitiv!

Question: I heard proactive is good but it can burn people's skin if they have sensitive skin.

Answers: I heard proactive is good but it can burn people's skin if they have sensitive skin.

What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

Different acne treatments work differently for different people ;-) but I have compiled some info on Proactiv for you, based on reported experience:

Proactiv Negatives
===================

- irritating
- dry out skin
- expensive to keep having it sent to you month after month
- clear face up, but as soon as you stop using it the acne might come back
- it bleaches the cloth...
- doesn't seem to work as well on blackheads
- skin became darker
- temporarily red in areas
- slight burning sensation when applying toner/repairing lotion

Proactiv Positives
===================

- really does work
- clears your face up pretty quickly
- leaves your face feeling soft
- reduce the appearance of pores

"Acne Free" works really well - you can find it at Wal-Mart

I have had the best luck with the Clean and Clear Advantage kit - it's 18 dollars for the whole kit at wal mart.

Don't go this route...Please.
You'll just end up with your skin being more red and irritated. Change your diet. No processed foods. Drink half your body weight in good water daily. Get atleast 20 minutes of excercise everyday. 15 minutes of real sunlight. You can e-mail me if you want a more natural approach to getting rid of this and not just treating it. You don't need a bandaid fix.
Acne can be cured I don't care what anybody says. I've seen it.

I have sensitive skin and use the benzagel which is specifically for sensitive skin. it works for really bad acne. try and get a vitiman d cream from your doctor, its for night time use. I use the 0.05%. if you do use it, your face will react to the benzagel for the first 2 or three days. your face will just go red but its kind of embarrassing so make sure you have a couple free days before you use it.
hope this helps, good luck withthe acne
