Question: so today i woke up really hot with a headache and had a cold all day long. i took advil that morning then went off to school.well it was freezing outside and my stupid self wore a really thin shirt and a not so thick jacket over it. so when i come home from school i found that my lower rib (chest?) hurts everytime i breathe deeply or when i sneeze. im scared it could be pnemonia!! or could it be from my cold?

No, it's not a pneumonia. It's probably atelectasis from you not deep breathing or splinting from the cough. Make sure that you take really deep breaths intermittently and continue with the cough/cold medicine and Advil.
I hope you feel better soon...
Sounds a lot like pleurisy, which I am still suffering from. It's VERY painful and can make coughing and sneezing near impossible.

You should have a doctor examine you because sometimes pleurisy is caused by pneumonia or bronchitis.
