Can someone please explain to me about PDD-NOS or Autism Spectrum Disorder?!
Question: My son may have it but we arent sure yet. Testing all over the place first, but it looks like this could be it. I just want some information so that I can help teach my son and learn about what is going on in his mind.
I just want to be able to help him.
And I'm not finding very many helpful websites that specify in PDD NOS
any info or anyone who can offer me a good website, or even just someone who can brief me on this. I would greatly appreciate any extra knowledge of this.

PDD/NOS is an autism spectrum disorder--usually diagnosed by age 2 1/2 or 3 years. Little or no speech/sensory issues(sensitive to loud noises/overwhelmed by crowds/commotion)/low muscle tone/inordinate need for routine--reacts with anger/frustration to changes/difficulty focussing--cannot sit still for regular learning/story reading/eating,etc.--early diagnosis/intervention with physical/speech/occupational therapies may help--my 10 year old now doing quite well--not alot of language, but good vocab/reading/happy/more flexible--there is hope-lots of love/cheerleading/encouragement/positive feedback--they can hear you--speak to their hearts--they have great love/understand your tone if not your words--respond well to calm environment/classical music!!This is a delay--not a death sentence--they can learn over alot of time and repetition--be patient/have courage--all is not lost--believe in your child--they can do it--so can you!!!
