I had Lichen Planus. Will it pass on to my baby?!
Question: I had Lichen Planus some 3 years before. I jus had it around the ankles, waist & ont he hands. I am cured of it now. Only the pignmentation remains for which i apply a cream suggested by my dermatologist. Are there chances of me passing it to my baby when i plan one? Is there anything that i can do to prevent it from passing on ? Will it be any problem in my pregnancy? Pls advise. Thanks.

The inherited form of Lichen planus usually is very severe and has a prolonged course. It does not sound like you have this form. Talk to your doctor. You may want to consider some genetic testing if you are worried that you carry the inherited form. But since your case does not sound severe or prolonged I doubt you do. Talk to your doctor and a genetic specialtist if there are any unresolved questions. Good Luck
