I've been on it for about 3 years now and there's no problem with weight-gain. It was prescribed to me as it had better anti-anxiety properties than prozac so perhaps you need to talk to your doc. It may not be providing the right balance.
I took it for about 6 months and no I didn't have any weight gain.
Try not to worry about weight gain; being well in yourself is more important
If you have diabetes you need to get kidney function tests because reduced kidney function can decrease clearance of Cipralex. It can also affect blood glucose control.
