Weird headaches - has anyone else had these?!
Question: Eversince having a child a couple of years ago, I get these sharp stabbing headaches in my temples, usually one side at a time. They don't last very long (like 10-20 seconds) but are quite debilitating. I don't think they're tension headaches as they feel completely different. Any ideas on what might be causing them? I lead a healthy lifestyle and don't take any medication.

It's actually not a sign of a brain tumour(dah D)......
I get these all the time,and after seeing the gp about them were told they were completely normal,it's either caused from tension or stress.
go to the doctor.

Sounds like a very short migraine.
I get something similar but not sure what causes it, i find standing still still and taking deep breathes takes some of the discomfort away.
It may be a tooth problem. Go to a doctor before you have an aneurysm.
I'd guess sinus headaches or cluster headaches. Have you talked to a doctor about them?
I don't know how old you are, but I really hope by now you've seen your physician about these. I suffer from migraines and from what you're saying, yours aren't migraines. One doctor explained what a cluster headache is to me - yours may fall under those symptoms - anyway, you really need to get some scans run just to be sure. Hope you find relief soon.
I get them myself sometimes,don't know what they are...But they make you close your eyes for a couple of secs...It might be the start of migraines...
i sumtimes have those too and i do not have any kids. they only last a few seconds. its weird but im just happy that it duznt last any longer.
You need to consult your GP,You need to go up the hospital for some brain scans, to find out what is causing your sharp stabbing headaches. Good luck. Try not to worry.

Sounds very much like cluster headaches, they are bouts of short, very painful headaches. I suggest you go the doctor and ask them about it, rule out any other problems and perhaps find something that could treat or relieve the pain.
in Hindi do you know meethi dana ask ur mom u had in a kitchen i spoon meethi dana in i glass of water boil it till it remains 1/4Th and see u will be alright in case u have a problem of sweating more then in night u do in one glass (not of steel remember) put that in normal water and then in a morning drink that water only it will effect u
I get those occasionally; I think they're called cluster headaches and are related to migraines. They are not dangerous but it's a good thing they don't last very long, because they are very painful.
