Does anyone know of a completely gluten-free fiber supplement?!

Question: metamucil and citrucil claim to be gluten-free but contain 10ppm of gluten, which for ppl highly sensitive to gluten is still too much but allows them to label thier product as gluten-free. my grandpa has celiac disease and i take care of him and his diet but im struggling with finding something to work. you can imagine how awful this problem must be for a person. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!!

I use Walmart (Great Value) version of citcucil. Its just called Fiber Supplement and clearly states gluten free.

It may be helpful for you to understand that generally speaking, unless a food is made of something inherently GF, such as a banana, you will still find trace amounts of gluten in "gluten free" foods.
How do u know metamucil and cirtucil have 10ppm? Did u have it tested?
Please know that the CSA and other celiac organizations consider 20ppm and under to be considered safe, so it would not hurt for your grandpa to take these pills.
The FDA is working on the new requirement for labeling things GF and their decision should be out this year. This could make things easier or it could be harder on Celiacs, depending on how strict they make the rules, companies any not want the liability of listnig things as gluten free.
Remember that 20ppm is an EXTREMELY small amount of gluten, according to Dr Peter Green in his book "Celiac Disease a Hidden Epidemic", so 10ppm would probably not do any harm. I would suggest his book, very informative and helpful.
Best of luck, good for you for helping your grandpa.

I don't know, but maybe Benefiber is gluten free. Maybe you could just give him stool softeners.
