And if someone did create a cure do you really think the pharmaceutical companies would really stoop so low as to stop the cure being produced for fear of going bankrupt?

No having sex with a person who has an STD/STI does not mean that you'll get it but the more that you do the greater your chances. And since you don't know for sure that you won't get it that one time do you want to take the chance?? Why is it so hard to come up with cures for viruses?? Because they can and do change with regularity. You might develop a vaccine for one only to have it mutate and develop into something else. AIDS started as a virus in monkeys and became one that was viable in humans. That is what they are afraid of happening in the avian virus. That it will jump species and we won't have any immunity to it. No because even though they might find a cure for these diseases they won't go away any time soon, Even after the vaccines for chicken pox, measles, mumps, and other diseases there are still people who get them and or the vaccine wears off. And just as AIDS has jumped species there are other conditions and diseases that will crop up.

No, I do not think the pharmaceutical company would hesitate to produce a cure, even if it meant going bankrupt. They know the govt would bail them out if they went bankrupt making a cure for AIDS.

CONDOMS!!!!!! Sex with an infected partner without a condom most surely will give you the same std.What is with people? Condoms are at least 99% effective in preventing stds. Why would you even think about sex with out a condom? Did you know, that right now, nearly 1 million people have chlamydia? ONE MILLION..it is even over taking AIDS. Pharmaceutical companies will make millions, and in the US probably charge a horrible amount of money to those who need the drug. They already do for heart meds, breast cancer meds, medications for other cancers....they will do what they can to make the money, while the American tax payers die and suffer because there is NO limit no law preventing it. If nothing else is ever told to you,and nothing else is ever heard, please wear a condom. I worked in the Medical field for 12 years for a Gyno, the girls, young young girls coming in with life altering diseases was heart breaking. Please, protect your lover and yourself.
use condoms if you don't u will surley end up with one, specially if u have multiple partners. not all stds are curable, some of them can cause complications later in life and with pregnancies and fertility problems. i would hope that pharmacies would welcome a cure for stds and aids. i'm sure they would want to help stop people from spreading/contracting. if they didn't sell medication the pharmacies would go out of business. i don't think the pharmacies don't really have a say in what gets produced, i think that would be more of a government health issue.
