Tomatoes contain Lycopene, which helps fight some forms of cancer. So far studies have only specifically proven that it helps prevent or treat Prostate cancer.

whoever told you that one????????

I looked in my Vitamin Bible book by Earl Mindell and the following foods are cancer -fighting foods to increase in your diet: carrots, cantaloupe, cabbage, squash, sweet potatoes, papaya, spinach, broccoli, brussel sprouts, bok choy, cauliflower, kale, radish, horseradish, rutabaga, celery, onions, tuna, salmon, sardines, mackerel, bluefish, wheat bran, corn bran, rice bran, fruits and vegetable high in vitamins A, C, E, and selenium.

Tomatoes are high in vitamin C and a good source of vitamin A. So, yes, tomatoes can provide some protection against many kinds of cancer.

Yes, according to research, it is true. However, they are more effective if cooked. I have forgotten the reason.

Cancer is a cruel and random disease which can strike anyone at any time; while a healthy diet which includes plenty of vegetables is always a good idea, there is no recorded evidence that any food can reduce the risk of, prevent, treat or cure cancer.
