bells palsy is/can be directly related to lymes disease. I dont want to scare you..have you ever been tested for lymes? Most people who are bited by a deer tick do not know that they were bitten, so the lymes disease goes unoticed. I have a funny feeling since you still have symptoms, of bells palsy that you also have lymes. (this can be good news), in an odd way, because the dr. can give you antibiotics that will help you feel better.

please get tested ... and god bless you.

Yes

People usually recover completely from Bell's palsy. If you had 5 yrs ago and still have trouble, you may have had a light stroke.

I got it 3 months ago and no improvement. I have tried acupuncture. I am not giving up hope.

I had it when i was 4 years old. at the time the doctor had never seen it in anyone so young. the left side of my ace drooped, i had difficulty swallowing and speaking and talking. luckily it lasted a month then completly cleared up. the chances of it happening again have increased put so far so good. You cant even tell I had it unless im tired and i smile, one side smiles less than the other.

I had a very mild version of it a few years ago. I found out that it was caused by Lyme disease. I'm getting treated for Lyme now. I've meet several other Lymies who also had the bells palsy symptoms.
