ENT. What does "pulled in mean?" Help!!?!

Question: I went to my doctor for drainage that has been in my throat for months. He looked in my ears and said they are "pulled in". What does that mean? Can someone send me a link that would explain what in means when the doctor says "pulled in"?

E.N.T. is a Ear,Nose and Throat doctor.
What your doctor is saying is that when he looked at your eardrum it was retracted meaning that there was negative pressure in your middle ear. The reason is that there is no proper drainage or ventilation by your Eustachian tubes which is a small tube from your throat to the middle ear.
The ENT will determine the cause and treatment such as antibiotics or surgery (Tubes) or probably just some no evasive suggestions. But it is good to have it checked out by the specialist just normal procedure.
optional ENT or E.N.T. is the same thing and pulled in means the eardrum looks like it is being sucked towards the inner ear like vacumed veggies.

shouldn't the question be: ENT. What does "pulled in" mean? Help!!?
