Well, just because you get rid of one pimple does not mean you will never get another one. Pimples are not the result of anything you eat, that's just an old tale. Pimples are usually caused by the staph bacteria that normally lives on your skin getting into a pore or hair follicle. On the surface of your skin, staph is not a problem. Under the skin, it's an invader and your immune system attacks it like it does all invaders, bacterial or otherwise. The pus you see is the collection of dead bacteria and white blood cells, waiting to be walled off and forced out of the skin. The best way to deal with pimples is by not over-reacting to them, and by helping your skin and body do what they do best. That means not poking, prodding or squeezing them. That way, you don't spread the bacteria to any new places, nor break it beneath the skin and spread it around that way either. You best control the numbers of the bacteria on the surface of your skin by normal washing, with plain old soap and water. Witch hazel is a good rinse and wipe down for skin, naturally antiseptic and very kind to skin- it's the major component of those more expensive acne washes anyway. In pure form it's cheaper and works just as well, if not better, than they do as well. Spots in the making are best treated with a tiny drop of tea tree oil, on the spot in question, after washing your face before bedtime. Tea tree oil has a bit of odor, which will fade as you sleep. Benzyl Peroxide is extremely drying to skin, not just the skin involved in the zit, but the surrounding skin as well. And dry or damaged skin breaks out just as badly as oily skin, worse in some cases. The more stuff you put on your skin, the more likely you are to simply aggrivate things and upset the normal pH balance of your skin, or force the bacteria into pores. The more you keep your hands off your face, the happier it tends to be. Unless you are washing your face, and do that will clean hands- keep your hands away from your face altogether. Your hands are bacteria and dirt laden, unless you just washed them with soap, and from your fingers to your skin, you know? Keep makeup to a minimum, and preferable stay away from liquid types of makeup, because bacteria loves moisture. The same bacteria that grow on your skin can take up residence in the bottles of makeup, and then you just spread them on anew when you apply it. If you live in a city where the pollution levels can climb, it's worth it to carry a small bottle of witch hazel and some cotton pads in the purse, and use those to wipe off your face a couple times a day. You will see the pad turn pretty grungy from the stuff in the air around you, which has layered onto your face. About the only influence a diet can make is if yours is not very well nutritionally balanced. Healthy skin requires a healthy overall diet, not one heavy on the meat and pizza, and light on the veggies and fruit. A healthy diet won't necessarily mean clear skin all the time, but it will at least mean you have the things your body needs for repair and defense. Sometimes, you will just have a few pimples no matter what you do, as the hormonal surges of youth just translate into moody skin. It does tend to improve as you get some age on you- usually by your early to mid 20's you see things make a change for the bettter, and only suffer the occasional pimple. So don't give up entirely. Keep your face clean, your hands away from your face, go easy on the makeup and eat well. Soap, water, tea tree oil, and witch hazel should help you keep things in control without resorting to heavy chemical attacks.

Stay away from Sunlight.

Well austriallian tea tree oil is really good for your skin; I use it and like never get pimples.

I know this sounds weird but Crest toothpaste has been known to get rid of pimples pretty quickly.

talk to your doctor. drink lots of water, and dont use over the counter products

try multivitamins. you might not be getting the "essential" stuff that really helps your body fight off infections ie, pimples.

if you get those huge painful ones on your face (forgot what they are called), they are even harder to get rid of because they occur deeper in the skin.

Believe it or not, when a pimple begins to appear , take some Visine-YES, Visine (for your eyes) & dab onto the area that the pimple is located. Continue this until the pimple disappates.
GOOD LUCK

toothpaste works =]

Aspirin contains Beta hydroxy acid which is a powerful defoliant ,so you can crush 1to 2 Aspirin tablets mix with a little water and apply on pimples for 15 minutes and wash. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
