hey Chick its me Bonnie,
I have epilepsy also,, just like your sister and really there isnt anything you can do when she's having them! But she is your little sister so the best thing I can suggest for you to help her is to make sure that u keep an eye on her as much as you can,, make sure she doesnt hurt herself when she's having a seizure! I developed mine when i was older,, at 23, mine was brought on from blows to the head and lack of oxygen during an operation! Usually no one can tell when im having one cuz i sneak off to my room that way no one knows whats up! So if u can keep her from bumping her head, or from hurting herself since she's so young she may grow out of them! Its been known to happen!!! Your a good sister and be proud of that, I know alot of kids that dont care about their family! So take care, give her a bunch of x0x0x0x0x from me,, take care an cya soon x0x0x0x Bonnie J

Do some research maybe you guys can find a dog, that is trained in this they have places to train dogs to warn people before a seizure occurs because there really is no way of knowing before hand

try this site it seems to have tons of info

I only have experience with petit mal epilepsy--a friend of mine had it. Generally, it is pretty quiet. If your sister has that kind of seizure, you might not know it; it might not be noisy enough to awaken you, especially if you sleep in different rooms.

If she has grand mal or psychomotor seizures, those might be louder, with more flailing about, but I have no experience with those.

The best thing I'd advise is for your sister's sleeping area to be cleared of any items she might knock over or break during a seizure--I mean things on her nightstand or bedside table. Aside from that, I would ask her doctor for advice about things you could do.
