Why am I having right sided abdominal pain?!
Question: I've had this pain just under my ribs on the right hand, and it really really hurt. The pain was like shooting pains but everywhere in that area, I very nearly called an ambulance because I was in so much pain. This is like no other pain I have ever had before, can someone please tell me what it could be and what I should do!! I have diabetes and possible epilepsy.

as a fellow diabetic i would advise immediate medical intervention as we can suffer higher infection catching than non diabetics. phone nhs or doctor NOW. could be in gall bladder or intestinal both can rupture.

if the pain was that severe then maybe you should go to your nearest hospital, however if i had pain that severe I wouldnt be sat at my computer I would be seeking urgent medical attention.
Sounds like gall bladder stone colic or cholecystitis.
You need to consult a doctor for pain relief, investigations and treatment.

i'm not a docter so i'm probably wrong,, but it might be appendicitus cause my brother had those symptons then the nex day he was told ther wer going to have to operate to take them out. I think it would be best to get checked out if your still in pain
I AM NOT TRYING TO PUT A SCARE TO U BUT IT COULD BE APPENDIX CALL THE AMBULANCE GO TO UR LOCAL HOSPITAL AND GET A CHECK OVER AS THEY SAY BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY IT MAY NOT BE APPENDIX YOU MIGHT HAVE A NERVOUS STOMACH I KNOW SOON AFTER XMAS DIAOREAH AND SICKNESS IS BUZZING AROUND.

If it's just under your ribs on the right side it is probably gall bladder problems. You really should see a doctor about this.
appendix, its so painful i got rushed to hospital, had mine taken out,
was being sick, went a pastee colour, could not walk pain so bad, get checked out, i was just in time for mine before they burst.
This could be a lot of things. If you are in excruciating pain, you need to seek medical help, not message board help.
That said, have you had these symptoms before? Do they follow greasy, fatty meals? If so, that could signify a gallbladder problem.
Are they just twinges of pain, like a muscle spasm (such as a charley horse in your calf) in your side? You may be dehydrated and low on calcium or magnesium.
Does it hurt to move, stand, bend? Is the pain unrelenting? If so, seek medical attention immediately. Does the pain radiate to the back or into the groin? These are signs of appendicitis and you need not sit at your computer and wait it out. A ruptured appendix is a big problem.
