Acne products that'll help?!
Question: Well, i've recently used proactive lotion and i was kind of allergic to it, it made my face worse, theres blackheads on my nose and dry skin, what kind of products should I use, i need to get rid of the blackheads on my nose, proactive is killing me...

I have relativly good skin. I barley ever break out. Except I have the same problems with blackheads on my nose. I tried scrubs and everything. Nothing seemed to work. I went to the dermatologist and she told me that blackheads are natural and when you try to get rid of them by using strips and scrubs, it just makes your skin produce more gunk to clog your pores.
I use the clinique three step system everyday twice a day. They make different formulas depending on your skin type. It really mild and doesn't try out my sensitive skin.
On the chance that your blackheads are terrible and you have a different skin type than mine, i suggest using Biore anti-black head daily scrub. Lay a warm washcloth on your face first to open up your pores first though, then scrub gently with a washcloth. You could try the Biore anti-black head strips, but my dermatologist doesnt recomend it.
They also make blackhead extracting tools. They have a small wire ring at the end of a long handle. You place it so that the wire ring surrounds the blackhead a pressdown forcing the oil and dirt out. The end of a bobby pin does the same thing too.
I have read though, that thoes actually push the oil deeper into your skin.
It really depends on the person. If your blackheads really are out of control, I suggest seeing a dermatologist.
And, as for the proactive issue. Proavtiv is meant for people with terrible acne, not blackheads. It is super strong, so if you dont have an acne problem, it dries our your skin.
The clinique three step system has a different formula for every differnt skin type. I use the one for combination skin. It clears up the oil on my chin and nose, but doesnt dry out my cheeks at all. And the moisturizing lotion is amazing, my skin is always soft, and it never makes it greasy.
it's not a reaction the company actually told ne that my face would break out really bad and then get clear. The dermo. laughed when it was so bad I went to one. He said to use an anti bacteria unscented soap and a unscent lotion on the dry skin.
