Im lactose intolerant and tend to vomit with dairy... best bet to see if it is dairy is to exclude all dairy from your diet for 2 weeks and see if the symptoms go. May be worth consulting your doctor as this is a sudden and extreme change. If it does turn out to be an allergy, it isnt the end of the world... you can get lots of allergy friendly foods now. My fav site is www.dairy-free.org.uk .... yum yum!!!

I thought people that were lactose intolerance were usually sick out the "other" end.

Sometimes lactose intolerance can be permanent, and sometimes it won't be, it all depends.

it can be permanent...especially if developed after childhood. i have it and have had it all my life. breyers makes lactose free ice cream...or you can also take something like lactaid...

so im having the same problem!!!
that is very weird
im going to the doctor on monday to get checked out.

i dont vomit tho.
i just feel really sick.
get bad stomach pains.
and bad gas pains.
itttt sucks.

look it up on
Webmd.com
it might help

Many people develop lactose intolerance later in life. Go to your local drugstore and get some Lactaid Ultra. You take one before you consume anything dairy and you don't have the ill feelings anymore. If you try Lactaid and you are still feeling that sick after consuming dairy then you should go to the doctor and be tested for an actual allergy. Lactose intolerance is not an allergy per se, it is intolerance. And once you have it, it doesn't usually seem to go away.

Most people that are lactose intolerant have really bad gas sometimes they pass it and it's really stinky and sometimes they cant pass the gas it stays in their stomachs and the pain gets worse until a gas pill is taken...I became lactose intolerant when I turned 30...never vomited...best of luck

It is possible to be allergic to it, but I think in your case you may be lactose intolerant. my best advice : GO TO A DOCTOR. You can treat lactose intolerance with Lactaid pills and drops, but the allergy may leave you having to carry around an Epi-Pen.

well i am lactose intolerant and from your symptoms, i dont think you are.
you get sharp pains in your stomach. and you dont normally puke, at least i never have.
but if you are, no its not permanent. i developed it when i was in 6 years ago. i still have it but ive known people that were only lactose intolerant for a couple years.
if you are, there are pills you can take so you can still eat ice cream and other dairy products, however they dont always work.
i hope your not lactose intolerant, its not fun!!

My daughter is lactose intolerance, what you can do is try lactose free milk, and alternate whit regular milk to see the effect

The same thing is going on with me!! I never had a problem before but slowly over the last few years it's been getting worse. I suffer through it though.

if you are female, maybe you're pregnant. pregnancy can cause temporary lactose intolerance. or maybe there is something about the sensitivity of your stomach. is it just dairy? or spicy too?
