My grandfather has a tumor...?!

Question: He has been very weak for a long time, and all of a sudden he cant walk or feel his legs. He can't go to the hospital because they said that there is nothing wrong with him. What is going on?

There could be alot of things going on... sometimes this kind of stuff just happens to older people. just hang in there and make sure you are there for him, if they say there is nothing wrong with him listen to them. im no dr, but they are.

he is denying the fact that he has a serious condition, is he a heavy sleeper? you should bring him to the hospital...IN HIS SLEEP! lol. hope everything goes well.
sorry.

he has a tomor?

Obviously there is something wrong or he would be able to walk. If you can get him to a real hospital in a town like Chicago, please do.

Well if he can't walk you need to take him to a doctor and let em' have it about telling you there was nothing wrong.

That hospital must be stupid.

If he can't feel his legs or can't walk, he has a major problem

might be a stroke, or brain tumor

better pray if you can't go to a hospital, or call 911 they can take him

Oh! my very sorry to hear that but you didn't specify where the tumor is. My mother just passed away from a malignant brain tumor.

How old are you? Are they keeping the truth from you to try and preserve the innocence of youth?

The symptoms you describe could be caused by many things, not just a tumor. He could have bone spurs on his spine, a ruptured disk, a pinched nerve, or any one of dozens of possibilities.

Be blunt with your folks. Tell them you are old enough to handle the truth and you want to know. Seems to me you know enough to worry and not enough to understand.

I heard the same story from my father-in-law and he had a tumor. I have the same symptoms and I have bone spurs on my spine and a ruptured disk. My neighbor has the same symptoms and she has a pituitary problem. Get the point?

Get them to level with you.

If there really is an undiagnosed problem as you've been told - there ARE other hospitals in other towns with other doctors.

There has to be an answer as to his weakness and inability to walk. Is his tumor malignant (cancerous)? If so it can cause weakness, or it may have spread. He should go to the doctor that is treating his tumor and explain these symptoms. The doctor can figure out what is going on and explain it to your family.
Good Luck!
