What is the best fruit to eat that effects your blood sugar?!

Question: the least?

Answers: the least?

Peach (1 medium with skin) 42 calories, 0.7 g protein, 11g Carbs, 2 g fiber, 8g sugar, low glycemic index

Tangerine (1 medium) 37 calories, 1g protein, 9g carbs, 1.9g fiber, 7.5g sugar, NA on the Glycemic Index

Raspberries (1cup) 64 calories, 1g protein, 15 g carbs, 4.3g fiber, 3.8g sugar, NA on Glycemic Index

Oranges may be the best. I would think all fruits would be good though because of their natural sugars. Prunes possibly being the worse

If you want to elevate your sugar, eat an orange.

Generally a fruit juice is best if you are trying to raise your blood sugar and traditionally orange juice is recommended.

Some of the lowest calorie fruits are apples, blueberries, and apricots. I don't worry too much about fruits... eating more fruits is what finally allowed me to get off the medication, Metformin. I had bought into that garbage that fruits have too much "sugar" in them for a diabetic. Truth be told, much of that sugar is fructose which has a very low glycemic index. That means that it raises your blood sugar slowly. What isn't made readily available is the effect that the potassium in fruits has on insulin resistance. It lowers it. Since increasing the amount of high potassium fruits in my diet to 100 to 125 grams of carbs (sugar), my blood glucose didn't go up, IT WENT DOWN. My average for the past three weeks (fasting and two hours after dinner) was 89 mg/dl (4.9 mmol/l). So, whether you're a type one or a type two, fruits are good for you. Just watch your total calories the same as you would any carb... at least in the beginning. Here's my log: http://www.geocities.com/seabulls69/Dail...

if you add some protein with you fruit it slows the release of glucose down....add peanut butter to an apple...or cottage cheese to pineapple...shredded cheese on mixed fruit...add nust to a fruit salad...all this has helpd me...bluedot

Berries of any kind will not effect your blood sugar much in moderation.
