Vertigo question!!?!

Question: a few weeks ago I had an episode of vertigo..it was terrible. I thought I was about to passout, and I scared the heck out of my coworkers.
Here I am, at work again, and here I am, with more vertigo! My doctor told me I probably just had fluid in my ears, and gave me a decongestant last time..
and I do have a terrible cold now. The decongestant didn't work. And it's not like it only happens when I move, it's comes on just whenever, and I'm trying so hard not to have a panic attack. It thought i was having a stroke or something!
Anyone have vertigo and have some tips on how to combat it? Why does this happen to me, even when I'm sitting or standing still?
Thanks!

i'm sorry i can't help you with this since i have the same problem =[
i know it feels horrible!
but just remember sit down drink some water and put maybe a cold cloth on your head.
If you panick it gets worse.

I had vertigo once when I had the flu. It happens when you are staying still & the world seems like it's spinning. Since you know what it is try not to feel too anxious about it.

Be careful driving and don't stand too close to ledges or curbs.

I would've thought your MD would've given you an antihistamine too...to dry you up.

I think it's time for you to go to an ENT MD who will do tests to find out a definitive answer to your problem.

I went to an ENT MD & it finally went away, but I was reassured by MD.

Feel better.

my friend has this too! she finds stress brings hers on more, and doing too much in one day isnt good either. she has 2 rests during the day to keep on top of her vertigo. please dont drive when you are real bad, my friend nearly killed herself in her car when she had an attack. get some anti nausea tablets if you feel sick with it, they help her a lot.and the less bending and looking up you do the better. good luck.

Hi. I am sorry about the difficulties you are facing now. My friend was in vertigo months ago, it was a recurrence. She was bedridden, couldn't turn her head left or right, suffered the pain. One of her friend introduced a product to her for trial, surprisingly she got up from bed, walked and finally she was back to normal after using the product few days. I know it sounds unbelievable, though we don't know how it helped her but it worked!!
