Mucus stuck in ear?!

Question: I've never had this happen before and I'm 20 yrs old. In my right ear I'm pretty sure there is mucus stuck in my ear and my hearing in that ear is diminished a fair amount. I had a cold with thick mucus out of my nose for several days and now that's gone. My ear has gotten a little better but not a whole lot. Will this go away?

It is probably not mucus that's in your ear. I expect you have been blowing your nose a lot lately and you may have affected your eustachian tube and internal pressure. You do not necessarily have otitis media. Give it more time. If you still have your ear symptoms 7 days from, report this to your doctor.

It is probably still clogged from the cold you had. Give it a little time. If you still feel this way in a week you should see an Ear, Nose & Throat doctor.
