Is this a symptom of kidney stones or what could it be?!

Question: I've noticed the last couple of months, I have some pain in my back about where my kidneys would be...I've also had only a few times, blood in my urine - I only see that when I wipe...just small spots of blood, nothing that would alarm me. I have read that some kidney stones can be passed without any pain...

If this is not stones - what could it be. Is this alarming enough to talk to my Dr about, or should I wait and see what the next few months brings?

Depending on your age, it could be cystitis instead of kidney stones. The symptoms of kidney stone(s) are:

(1)Severe pain or aching in the back
(2)Bloody, cloudy, or smelly urine
(3)Feeling or being sick
(4)A frequent urge to urinate or a burning sensation during urination
(5)Fever & chills

These can also symptoms of urinary tract infection or cystitis, which is more common than kidney stones in young women.

See your Doctor now. Pain in the area of the kidneys should not be ignored.

Doofus....Anytime you have blood in your urine, you should consult a physician.

talk to your doctor. I know it isn't kidney stones, but that is al I can tell you.

you should go get it checked out.. maybe it's worse.

yes,I would go to a urologist if I were you.Could be kidney stones,or a UTI that has spread to the kidneys.

DO NOT WAIT, SEE A DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY!

Sometimes you can get blood in the urine from several causes, kidney or bladder stones, cancer, repetitive movements (like chopping wood) or unknown reasons.

Go to a urologist and get checked out.

You need to see a doctor, that could be symptoms but usually a red flag is difficulty in peeing.

Absolutely you need to talk to your doctor!

Flank pain and blood in your urine are not normal and need to be assessed by the doctor!

You can't just diagnose yourself - what if you had cancer G-d forbid, or an infection that could lead to sepsis?

you should go see a doc, it may be nothing but then again it could be serious.

In order to determine whether or not you have kidney stone you will need an ultrasound or you can strain your urine to see if you pass a stone.Next your circulatory system is a closed loop and should not be bleeding for no reason, you should see a doctor now not wait months trying to diagnose yourself.

why u r waiting? Meet ur doct. as soon as possible, these symtoms r indicating problem.

if you drink alot of pop this could just be a kidney ache and you need some cranberry juice and it will stop hurting in a matter of hours

if you dont drink much pop it could be uti and you should see a doctor

if its kidney stones youd have some marks on your side that youd clearly notice

Painless blood in urine is associated with KIDNEY TUMOURS .
