How can I tell if my baby is allergic to cats?!

Question: My parents have two cats, and the last 2 times we visited, our baby has been very fussy. He usually never cries, but when we were there, he wouldn't stop.

if you take him to a doctor they can do a simple blood test to figure out if he is allergic to them, and also tells you just how bad it is on a scale of 1-7. i would highly recommend this, because i had this done a couple years ago and found out i was allergic to many things that i would have never guessed, even things i would eat regularly.

take him to the doctor!

Maybe he just doesn't like the cats. They may scare him. I never liked cats when I was little (I still don't)

Allergy testing with the pediatric specialist of your choosing.

see if he is itchy or sneezes alot.

if you are concerned go for an allergy test.

If the baby shows signs of breathing difficulty or skin irritation like a rash then yes I would worry about it.

You can take him to the pediatrician, he'll be able to do a lot of different allergy tests to figure out what hes allergic to and what hes not.

Well you could stick your kid in a room full of cats for about five minutes......or.....you can go to an allergy center. What they'll do is give your child a needle containing the allergen you are interested in knowing about. Then they see if the child reacts to the needle shot to determine whether nor not they are allergic.

if you notice skin color changes, eye irritation, or respiratory problems take your baby to the doctor and don't get him or her near any cats until you check in with a doctor. good luck!

ok it sounds wierd but trust me get a couple of cat hairs in one hand and have the baby hold ur finger get the cat hair close to the finger if he /she losens her grip she is allergic

ohh and make sure that the grip tightens back up when u take the hair away

you want to do this like three times to be sure

hope i helped =)

if ur baby is allergic to cats then u will see a reaction preety soon
ur baby probably is scared and is new to seeing a cat

babys should not be next to pets!
