High Blood Pressure + High Heart Rate + Chest Pain = ??!
Question: my girlfriend is 14 years old....this past week she has been complaining of chest discomfort. Her blood pressure is 175/130....Pulse is about 120 beats per minute and describes the pain as "squeezing" or "pressure". Does anyone know what this could be. She is 5'6, 120 pounds.

It's rare that 14 year olds have serious heart problems, but she should see a doctor anyway. The 175/130 is very high.
Is she stressed about something? Anxiety can cause those symptoms if it's bad enough.
Have you thought of seeing a doctor? If indeed this is a serious question, you should not depend on this forum for an answer.
See a doctor . If the blood pressure does NOT go back to normal 140/less than 90. She will damage her heart .
Ok...there is no "process" for Mom to be in other than taking this girl to the doctor today!
Is she overweight? African American? (much higher incident of High Blood Pressure and heart disease for the African American race).
Stress, anxiety...
BUT IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE THAT SHE IS HAVING A HEART ATTACK just because she is 14!
