You probably had a cold. Colds can often develop into pneumonia. You should go to the doctor as soon as possible. They will do a chest x-ray to see if you have any congeton in your lungs. If you do, and continue to struggle to breathe, he or she may give you some perscription cough medicine, expectorant or possible a bronchodilator (breathing treatment) to help yu to breathe more normally. You do need to go get checked out though, because pneumonia can lead to serious complications and even death, if left untreated. Don't be afraid though, death mostly occurs is those with weakened immune system and the elderly.

your mom could be right....go see your doctor today

i am with your mom i would say that you have pneumonia and that you should get the the hospital and have some chest x-rays done, i have asthma and i have had pneumonia 2 times, its a terriable feeling to not be able to catch your breath. Get taken care of before it gets any worse. It may just be walking pneumonia now, but if you let it go it can get much worse!

GET TO THE DOCTOR!

If you can't breathe than go to the doctor. They can do a simple test to check your oxygen levels. They will probably do an xray to see if there is fluid or something else wrong. If it is something serious you don't want to let it continue because being on an oxygen mask in the hospital bites the big one.
