I have tried every prescription acne medication you could think of! What I have found to work the best is called Tazorac. I have finally gotten to the point where I have clear skin. This stuff is my life saver!

I have tried everything and nothing the doctor can give you ever helps..
I use Velocity from Mary Kay...you wash your face 3 times a day with it...morning mid-day and night....and there is a mouisterizer too.
The stuff is amazing...doesn't stink and is cheap.

I think this is the best stuff you are going to find!

the best stuff to use for your skin doesn't even need to be prescribed! i have had the same problem, i tried everything and the stuff that they say works really doesn't. i recommend this regimen. It REALLY works. it's better to use stuff that is all natural. use lye soap to wash your face. i buy it at ace hardware, i know that is a weird spot to buy it, but you can search online. it is free of fragrances and it only contains four ingredients or something like that. for moisturizer, i would use something that is a natural lotion type of thing. now, as far as ointment goes, i would use sulfur ointment. it is made especially for acne. you can buy it online. use it only once a day, preferably at night. just put it on the blemishes. there is such a thing as sulfur soap but using to much sulfur will chap and dry your skin. plus, lye soap is better and gentler. when you pop a pimple, apply some tea tree oil. it is a natural antiseptic and works wonders. to some people, it has a funny smell but it works really well. also, lavender oil. it cleans up the popped pimple and you can apply on your scars and they will fade. putting lavender oil on a popped pimple reduces the scars significantly. acne is also internal. you could be vitamin deficient. take two teaspoons of vitamin c (the sodium ascorbate kind, it works better) two tablespoons of cod liver oil. this stuff is awesome! it is full of omega three, essential fatty acids, that are excellent for skin and hair and brain. you can purchase lemon flavored kinds so it doesn't have that fishy smell to it. it really isn't that bad and to have clear skin, it's worth it. also, when you wash your face, use some sort of sponge. i use this sponge that is kind of abrasive. i think they sell them as face washing sponges. wash your face with the lye soap somewhat vigourously twice a day. but dont' hurt yourself. i have been doing this with warm water and it cleans out my pimples and blackheads.

so if you are interested, you will need:

~lye soap
~sulfur ointment
~tea tree oil
~lavender oil
the most economical oils i have found were on iherb.com the NOW brand of oils. health food stores are way to expensive.
~vitamin c: sodium ascorbate two teaspoons a day
~cod liver oil (the best!!!) two tablespoons a day
or you could get fish oil tablets
~a good face sponge

i have tried EVERYTHING and this was the only system that had excellent results. i have done lots of research for alternative methods to treat acne. you can search all of this stuff online. it is very easy. you just have to stick to this system and you should notice some changes in a couple of weeks and then some major major ones in three months. you have to be a sticker. also, lots of water, no cigarettes or alcohol (alcohol sucks away all of the vitamins) and don't stress! this system is guranteed to work, i had really bad skin and now i feel very good and my skin looks the best it has been in eight years. just relax and know that your skin will get better. good luck!
