My 12 yr old daughter has step throat,her temperature went up to 39.7c last nigh!

If I were you, I would bring her to the hospital immediately. I wouldn't even consider clinic; go straight to the hospital NOW!
Anything under 35C is dangerously low. Low temps are much worse than high temps (high ones are just a sign that the body is fighting infection).

You should call a doctor or get her to hospital immediately.
