If someone has a blood clot around the groin area what kind of surgery would nee!
Question: If it is a pseudoaneurysm, usually caused by a cardiac catheterization, it may need to be surgically repaired. This is essentially a large mass that forms from blood leaking out of the punctured artery. Sometimes, they resolve on their own, unless it becomes very large and doesn't clot off on it's own. If it is a DVT in a vein in the groin, that is usually treated with IV Heparin, an no surgery is required.

probably no surgery. usually anticoagulants like coumadin / warfarin thin the blood & the blood clot disolves.
The drugs work great, but not always. He may still need surgery to remove the clot. I have no idea what the surgery would be called, maybe a clot-outa-me? ;o)
