Its possible that the problem is caused by diabetes, but more likely that you have a virus. Diabetes can cause nausea and vomiting from ketoacidosis and through degeneration of nerves in the digestive system. You would probably not have nerve degeneration if you are less than 40-50 years old and have kept your diabetes managed. Ketoacidosis is accompanied by excretion of ketones in the urine and in your breath. You would probably notice the smell of ketones. If you suspect ketoacidosis, ot if you are not sure about ketoacidosis, its best to get to the doctor. Otherwise, monitor your blood sugars a little more frequently than normal, and just ride it out unless you are having trouble keeping you glucose levels in a safe range. You can also get a test kit for ketoacidosis.

If you are a diabetic, please check your blood sugar. If it is very high or off the meter, please go to the ER. Vomiting is a symptom of diabetic ketoacidosis, which can be very serious. There are other things it could be, including just a simple stomach bug, but you shouldn't put it off for a couple days. Have it checked out today!
