Hey there! First of all, I'd like to say, I just got the Arcitec as well, and I love it. I have personally been shaving with an electric for a while now, and it does take a few weeks depending on your skin to get that close irritation free shave. If I were to suggest anything it would be to revamp your whole routine. Here's what I do.
-Take a hot towel, and dab your face to open up your pores, and soften your hair.
- Get some Emu oil (That's right...Emu) you can get it from any health food store, and it works wonders on the skin.
-Coat your face in a thin layer of the oil, it takes about a pea sized amount to cover the bearded area.
-Shave in quick circular motion with the shaver head.
-Clean up any hairs you miss with a blade razor.
-Take the hot towel again and clean up.
-Follow with a few quick blasts of cold water to close the pores
-Finish with a little more Emu Oil..(I'm telling you, this stuff is a miracle, it helps with acne, scars, razor bumps, and other irritations. It's hypo-allergenic, sterile, and rich with essential fatty acids) your skin will thank you!
-Good luck, and happy shaving my friend.

when you switch to electric shavers it takes about 6 weeks before your skin gets use to it.

I get razor burn from anything. I went to a dermatologist and got special shave gel......and steroid cream when it is unbearable
! I was allergic to that hypoallergenic shave gel they gave me! So, I tried Aveeno. Helps! The Rx (antihistamine called Hydroxyzine....Atarax......) he gave me..... truly helps me, then with Aveeno skin relief body wash and a Venus razor with sensitive skin stuff for the whole shebang. Then, skin relief body lotion. Winter is especially tough, buddy! Dry skin out the wazoo! Try that...if not, go see the Dermatologist, or regular doctor. Or, just google it and look up razor burn

Sensitive skin irritations can be avoided with a light coat of pre-electric shaver conditioner. Try using a little baby oil on the shaving head. Ususually you'll find that you're able to 'tuffen up' after a little while.

my partner gets spots every time he uses an electric razor - and yes we do clean it.
He finds that he can not do a close shave.

Craig Betham1 It will cause a rash because the face is use to your mac3 and how you shaved. My suggestion wpuld be but a good preshave to use it will help, and when your done apply Bump Patrol it's not expensive, you can get it in Wal Mart, and you will find it works wonders, and do away with the rash. Good Luck!
