i do not believe that you not physically addicted. you only had 1-3 a week for like 2 weeks, and that was over 2 months ago. your urge to do it is all in your head. on some level, you probably think it's cool or grown up or something. so just don't. it would be so stupid for you to smoke--not only for the obvious reasons (cancer), but it makes your teeth yellow and it makes you stink, plus you are so young that you can't even buy them if you want them and probably don't have that kind of money anyway. plus--it's illegal! and obviously you can control yourself, you have so far.

Do not take one from him. Now, while you are new to the habit is the time to quit. It gets harder the longer you smoke and you know how bad it is for your health so you will have to quit some time. Quit before lung damage occurs.

Whenever you want a smoke just punch yourself in the balls. Its cheaper and youll live longer.

If you know it's bad for you, then that's probably a good enough reason for you to NOT do it.

Trust me, the first few nic fits are the toughtest to get over.

You know all the info about smoking. Don't need to tell you.
You can wear the patch every day which gives you an amount of nicotine so that your withdrawal is gradual. When you feel ready you can lower the dosage until you don't need it any more.

You can chew nicotine gum.

Health Food stores sometimes sell ginseng cigs so that you can still blow smoke out of your face but it's not tobacco. This can help while you are withdrawing.

The pro's say, just keep quitting. Do not be put off by backsliding. Once you have quit you will feel so good about yourself. It is a major accomplishment. It is difficult because cigs are so easily available.
Don't let anyone talk you into getting seriously hooked. It's a very nasty drug. Both my parents died from it.
There are many help websites available too. Check them out. They have solid info.
Good luck!

I wish I could take back all those years I smoked in highschool. I quit when I was 22. BEST thing I ever did and the hardest! DONT DO IT!!! PLEASE!

He doesn't sound like much of a friend to me. Now you are going to have to tough it out. The urge will grow less and less.
