Wow! I know it can take up to two weeks before the new meds really starts taking effect (sometimes longer, depending on what you are taking), so if it hasn't been that long, give it a while. I'd also thoroughly read the leaflet that comes with your new meds if you haven't done so already (you know the one that tells you what all the side effects are, etc).

Secondly, NEVER go of your anti depressants unguided again, depending on what you are taking the effects can be devastating and can in short make you go totally crazy. '
Basically because you just went off them cold turkey and are now taking a higher dosage your body will also need time to adjust to this and for the meds to take full effect again. Your body does not know what is going on because of the sudden changes it had to go through and needs time to adjust, reinstate itself and get on an even keel (with the help of the meds).

I have no idea how long you have been on the anxiety meds and how long it's been since you've been on the higher dosage of anti depressants, but as a general rule it can take 2 weeks before you feel any kind of difference, and since your body took quite a hit with going cold turkey, I'd count two weeks since you started taking both meds again. Also, talk to your doctor about all this, he should be able to tell you what stages your body will be going through and how long it'll take before you feel like you did before all this.
You might also want to read up on all your problems, find out more about the meds you are taking (google the names or active ingriedients) and look for people in a similar situation as you (on the web, or a self-help group near you). And like another poster suggested, ask your pharmacist whether the kind of meds you are taking work well together, don't just trust your doctor blindly.

Lastly, if you ever get new medication for something and get home only to suddenly realise that you forgot to ask whether these can be taken with the meds you are already on, call your pharmacist as they will be able to tell you.

you just need a boyfriend. go get you one.

Talk to your doctor regularly, take your meds regularly. It will take some time for them to start working. The most important thing is that you tell your doctor everything and avoid hurting yourself. You can get better.

listen, you should seriously have your thyroid checked. many doctors misdiagnose thyroid problems as anxiety/depressive disorders

I think you need a shrink. It also kinda sounds when i took shrooms once, everything started spinning and i had these crazy thoughts about jumping out the window. I was in a mix of happy and sad.
You sure u havent been taking a certain drug, there are some drugs, f.ex shrooms, lsd, xtc, coke. That could make u terminally crazy. I know a dude who went that way. (if thats the reason u should tell the doctor that ) .

i have experienced 'spinning rooms' before, and i have no medical or emotional disease or health problem.

This is what caused my head 'spinning'

1.Eye Strain (Waaaaaay to much computer time)
2. Sleep Deprivaty (Again Playing too much computer)
3. Stress (Probabaly Computer gaming also)

I was told by a doctor to sort my sleeping cycle out and get more excercise, and that was a few months agoand now i feel great.

Well, you probably need to see your physician again to get your meds sorted out. However, you could ask your (registered) drug store pharmacist if your medications could be working well together or working against one another.

You really need to consult your doctor again, though.

Be organised when you go - have a written down list of your symptoms and when they happen.

For instance, if you get dizziness after you take the pills, write down when it started and when it finished.

... I hope you get the attention you need very soon.

kate-- you certainly have a ton of issues here. nut you are basically ok. you may need to add some meds to your pharmacopia. like maybe some wellbutrin.

let me know how i can help out--david

I feel sorry for you. As far as I know you could be suffering from hypertension-high blood pressure.

maybe u r having panic attacks.U definitly have to go see a doctor and take ur medication as he tells u to.
besides that u can try yoga or some other discipline that could help u relax and have more inner control of your emotions and feelings
but first of all, calm down and do not listen to what everybody says round here.Go see a doctor, only he can tell u whats wrong and help u!

Go to your doctor. Take her/his advice. But ask about your thyroid; after many years of weird symptoms I had mine tested and it was found to be low. I am now on a thyroid replacement and it really helps. Never stop your psychogenic meds
without direction to do so from the docs.
Tell your doctor about the world spinning. It may be a side effect of your meds or something else. It may just be an inner ear infection! (I get them every year!)

i think your having anxiety attacks I have them also, and when i have them i think im going insain or gone crazy. but i end up feeling better, U just need to stop thinking about it, stop thinking about the way u felt. or your gonna end up getting a panic attack in the middle of the night. and you might need to express yourself to people. let the anxiety out. and it sounds like your lying about your sleep. 3 days without sleep?..and 100 mhz? ..megahertz huh? sounds cool. but u need to help yourself and stop thinking ur crazy. medicine isnt going to help.

Possibly, you need a full neurological work-up....and find a different doctor for you...it seems as if not everyone is keeping up with your health/mental health problems.. That right there can create more problems for you, and dangerous ones at that...Time for 2nd opinions...take Great Care of YOU...It must be difficult for you right now...Huggers, hope and health to you

Hi I have a friend who had similar symptons and was recently diagnosed with Mennierre`s. It has to do with an inner ear problem. Google this and see if it sounds like you.
