Hey i have a 4 year old with reoccurring episodes of ringworm !!!!please help?!


Question: i have taken her to the doctor, who diagnosed one case as ringworm,,,but expressed that the rest of the episodes are dr ypatches of skin,,, they all start the same...how do i tell the difference and now her dad n I are getting these patches as well.. I have been using topical creams,.,.,.,.,.,.

Use jock itch cream it is an anti fungal. Make sure to extend the cream about 2-3 inches further then the actual area to stop the spreading. Do you have pets? Cats are notorious carriers because they dig and potty in the soil where they are carry it back to your family. Also, Wash with HOT water and soap the sheets, bedding and shampoo the carpets., clothes. Anything that can touch up on your skin.

I have tried using a product called Udderly Smooth Udder Cream. You could try it and see if it helps the patches, to see if they are from dry skin. Don't let the name fool you though. Even though it was originally intended for use on cows' udders, it is now made to help prevent dry and chapped skin on humans.

As far as it returning, maybe you should try consulting a different doctor.

Bleach...regular laundry bleach.
Take a qtip and swab the ringworm with the bleach several times a day. It will kill the ringworm.
