selsun blue contains an acid which is what makes the dandruff 'go away' what it is actually doing is eating it off. You can be allergic to anything, and if that is the only thing that has changed and esp if you are using it every day you need to d'c your use of it. Dandruff shampoos, no matter how gentle they claim to be should not be used every day. Frankly they should not be used more than once a week. And your dads p thing was called psoriasis, and I would imagine the selsun blue irritated it. If you were going to develp[e psoriasis it should have happened in your late teens early 20's.

psoriasis?
discontinue using the selsun blue. see a dermatologist.

if you suspect it is the shampoo then stop using it for a week and see what happens.

After 6 months of changing shampoos, styling cream, hats, brushes, laundry detergent, I finally discovered that conditioner was giving me a rash. (hair conditioner in general)

I tried switching it at 1st...but i needed to stop it not switch it.

Ugh....if you are using conditioner, try and stop that for a week and see what happens.

luck
