Is a high Eosinophils count related to hiv?!
Question: i've had a low risk exposure few months back and had viral fevers on and off.didnt have a hiv test taken. but the normal blood test revealed that everything is fine except a slightly high eosinophils count. if it is related to hiv , then how strongly?or how likely it is cause of hiv?

The most common cause of high eosinophils is a parasitic infection, ike a tapeworm. They are the specific leukocyte that attack such parasites. High eosinophil counts are also related to autoimmune disorders (like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis) or asthma. Eosinophil count has nothing to do with HIV. Be more concerned about a tapeworm taking up residence in you gut! And if that's the case, don't worry, they are relatively harmless, but in some cases they travel to your brain....
If you really feel like there's something wrong with you, or if you have any other symptoms, ask your doctor to run a screen for parasites.
you would be best researching this question, as a lot of people will give you the wrong answer.
The numbers of eosinophils in blood often rise above the normal range with allergic reactions and parasitic infections as with worms.
the sudden rise in your eosinophils may be related to an allergic reaction and is not definitive for HIV.
if you want to know whether you have HIV, consult a doctor so diagnostic procedures for HIV can be done
No, it's not related to HIV.
It's worth checking for parasites, though, such as intestinal worms or amoebas. High eosinophil counts can also indicate allergies.
