Thyroid Problems or not?!
Question: My lymph node in my neck swelled up a few weeks ago. Went to doc. She said I had thyroid probs. Had blood work done. Did research found out I have of 11 signs and symptoms i have 10 for hyperthyroidism. Lab work came back normal. Ultrasound of thyroid ran. 2 masses found. Biospy done. non cancerous. Problem is primary doctor still hasn't treated the symptoms I am having. I am still sick and want relief. I really just want my heart to quit racing. Pulse has been as high as 156. That is scary...Please give some advise.

You need to see the doctor again and have a frank talk with him. Explain that you want these issues addressed. Ask how he plans to treat you and when will treatment begin. If you do not get satisfactory answers from him, get a copy of all your lab work, biopsy results, and ultrasounds and go to another doctor ( preferably an endocrinologist) and get a second opinion. Untreated thyroid disease is no laughing matter. Good Luck
Well, we would need A LOT more information. We would also need to see you in person to be able to determine anything.
I have a thyroid condition. My thyroid died. So sad. Anyway, what you are describing sounds totally unfamiliar. However, if you DO have a thyroid condition, or something similar, then you need to go see an endocrinologist immediately. Just look in your phone book, or online, and type in "endocrinologist" for your local area. Good luck!
