Can a crack in the skin that is not bleeding transmit the HIV virus?!

Question: I'm obsessed with HIV fears and have convinced myself I have the virus.

I presently have a crack in my finger that is painful, but not bloody. I am not even sure the crack has broken through all my skin layers. Anyway, is there any chance this crack could transmit HIV to another (if I have the virus)?

NO!, HIV requires fluid contact for transmission, but to alleviate fears place a bandage on the crack or wound to prevent contact transmission. in reality it is a lot harder to contract aids or hiv then most people think.

if you fear that you have the virus, then go check it out to be certain by taking the required tests and speak with a physician. hope this helps!!!

It is not likely; but you may want to cover it with some salve or Neosporin and a bandaid - if nothing else than to get it to heal.

No, there has to be a transfer of fluids to the other person, even if you bleed on their intact skin they wouldn't get it.
