Rectum Itching Just Ain't Right?!

Question: For the past 3-4 weeks I've been experiencing irritation (itching) near the rectum area. This seems to be only present when I'm a bit sweaty down there though. Also, after a bowel movement, I experience pain when wiping near the rectum area in a certain spot only (Not all around). The pain almost feels like I have a small cut there which very well may be the case since on occasion I find a spot of blood on the tissue.

I've been reading online and everyone seems to have some kind of horrific story of what it may be. I've heard everything from hemroids to herpes. After further reading I've found that despite popular belief hemroids don't itch. And also I know it can't be herpes because I haven't had any kind of sex for almost a year AND have been extra careful to use a condom always.

So...what are my choices here? I'm still going to the doctors office, so I don't need to hear that because that's obvious.

There are two possibilties that I can think of... one, it could be fungal (like jock itch). No prob, it's treatable with antifungal creams. Second possiblilty, and this is probably going to totally freak you out, but you may have parasitic worms. Round worms are notorius for causing anal itching because they migrate to the rectum and lay eggs in the anus.... revolting, I know, but it's a lot more common than you'd think. The eggs are microscopic, so you won't be able to see them. Speak with your doc. He or she can do a stool culture to see if you got any creepy crawlies in there proliferating. And don't worry... if you do have worms, they are treatable, and mostly harmless!

Sounds like Mr. Winks (your butt-hole) has a cut bro. I wouldn't worry about it. I had the same thing, the bad thing is it will last about a month in a half. Mine went away after applying some Vaseline around the sphincter. It might feel a little queer, but it works!
