If you had cancer and are a nonsmoker? hypothetical question?!

Question: If you loved smoking but quit because you were afraid of cancer, and then get it anyways, would you be pissed off? how fair is that a lot of people that dont smoke get cancer? rather you take your chances, because you may get it anyways?

Well, so far I have known 3 people who had Cancer (2 had lung Cancer and 1 appendix Cancer) and none of them smoked. And I have known lots of people who smoked and 0 of them had Cancer.
But, with that being said, I'm a smoker. And I know I have to quit. Sure, you can get Cancer regardless of smoking or not. But, smoking certainly raises your chances. Smoking also contributes to many other conditions which are just as serious as Cancer, such as Emphysema (my grandmother died from this and she did smoke), Heart Disease, strokes, etc.
So, not only do you have the added risks of Cancer, you also have lots of other not-so-pleasant conditions that you are at risk for.
If I quit smoking now and I did get Cancer later then I wouldn't be mad. I brought it upon myself by deciding to smoke in the first place. I would be mad if I got Cancer and I never smoked at all.
Good luck!

my grandma dad sidenever smoked she got lung cancer.
my mom smoke 3 pack a day 15 years got lung cancer quit age 48 and died both age 54.

I don't smoke but the thoughts of cancer wouldn't stop me if I wanted to because honestly, the people in my family who have died/suffered from cancer are non-smokers.

I feel like no matter what you do, if you're meant to get cancer you will and the inevitable is going to happen regardless.

well i dont be pissed of coz i know it is for my own good...

Sometimes the people who don't smoke that get cancer are married to people who DO smoke or work in places where people smoke (bars, restaurants).

Cancer is not gained by smoking only. The disease is based on many other factors, and anyway smoking is unhealthy for many other reasons.
So no I wouldn't, basically its the same as say, that stop smoking will give you a ticket to immortality. You could as well go out your house and been driven over by a lorry.

if a bunch of ppl all live in the same area, there may be contaminates in the area. i know of a family who just found out their teenage daughter is loaded with it. the live somewhere that the govmt saw fit to bury crap and just tell ppl not to drink the water. it is more than the water that is contaminated, methinks.
now the entire family is getting tested.

i hope all ppl can catch any bad cells before they become 'unmanageable'.

Cancer loves SUGAR and thrives in an acidic body PH. Potential Hydrogen. Do you know what your PH is? Around 7.0 is acceptable. If you are acidic you need to get it alkaline. It is important. Research it for complete information.

You need to remember that smoke is only one of THOUSANDS of things that cause cancer. I addition lung cancer can be caused my a great doea of things OTHER than smoking.
