Question: if a doctor sends u for a CMP, and CBC blood test.. will either of them show if ur pregnant?CMP-measures glucose, and the other one does a complete blood count.. would it? or is there a special blood test

Your doctor has to order a pregnancy test ( beta HCG).. CMP means comprehensive metabolic profile that can include BUN, creatinine, electrolytes, enzyme levels CK, ALT, AST, bilirubin, glucose, etc. CMP will tell the doctor your overall health of your liver, kidney, etc.
