Stomach flu..?!

Question: I am just beginning to get over the stomach flu. I was wondering if anyone knows of good food/ drink that won't upset my stomach and will speed up the hydrating process?
I lost about 6lbs of fluid, so I am probably rather close to being dehydrated.

Thanks

I like to eat grapes....they taste the same going down & coming up..gross I know....but,they will also help with your electrolytes. Of course gatorade or apple juice.

* feel better...I had it a month ago......the flue is the worst.

edit: How can I have a thumbs down on this type of question?

Water.
Toast.

This is best, because you can sip the water, without being turned off by taste or sugar.. and the water actually is absorbed by the bread-pieces in your stomach to some extent, so you feel more full, and you retain more of those fluids (in). It's simple, I know. But, it's best. I could have typed things like chicken soup, camamelle teas, vitamin C, Flintsone chewable vitamins, etc. etc. but that's all nonsense. P.S. -- Sorry you're sick. It's the worst. GL getting better. (Like I always say, there's nothing 'hotter' than a girl with a fever.) Get some sleep. And go Giants, at least for one more Sunday...

A sports drink like gatoraide or poweraide will help replenish fluids as well as electrolytes you may have lost as well.

Try popsicles, and small sips of water. You could also get some Saltines and try to eat them slowly if it's too much for you. Make sure if you start to show signs of dehydration, you get yourself to the doctor or ER. Take care, hope you feel better soon.

chicken noodle soup. it always seems to do the trick no matter what the problem is.

Stick to BRAT - Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. It's definitely the best to recover from a nasty stomach flu.

Also, gatorade or powerade will help you replinish, rehydrate and recover those lost nutrients. If you can't stomach that, try Pediolyte... may be a child's drink, but it works.

I deal with allot of dehydrated fire fighters on scene and at competitions, If your going to drink power drinks you will have to cut them with at least half water which is a good idea any time. You can make your own with water a little lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Stay away from the energy drinks that just give you caffeine and sugar.

Anything noncaffeinated, including water and low-sugar juices, may help loosen and clear out mucus, soothe a sore throat, and replace fluid loss. Sport's drinks are good, but drown them down with water. Warm liquids, like herbal teas or soups, not only hydrate but their heat may also help fight off the infection and relieve congestion.
Don't try and eat a lot, maybe snack on some plain crackers or toast. A bowl of hot chicken noodle soup will do wonders!
Most importantly, take it easy! Lie down, stay warm, and sleep. This keeps all the body
