Hard, painful bump on inner thigh.?!

Question: I get a reoccuring bump every month or so that is painful and generally in the same area. It is about the size of the pad of my index finger and raised. Occasionally it will break and bleed. Everytime I attempt to go to the doctor for it, it clears up before I make it in. This has been going on for quite some time and is uncomfortable.

Can anyone give me an idea of what it may be? STD is not a good answer as I've been tested for them and was negative.

Sounds like a boil, or a cyst to me.

When you get them, try putting hot compresses on it. (You can do this by using a washcloth soaked in warm water and wrung out, just keep it warm by either re-wetting it with warm water, or you can get a 'wet' heating pad). The compresses should clear up the cyst or boil quicker than just letting it go on its own.

I would definitely recommend seeing a doctor for it though, you never know, better safe than sorry.

Could be a sebaceous cyst.
