Is my grandpa going to be okay?!

Question: Well he is kind of old like 76 or something around there and they took him to the hospital because they think they he had a heart attack, because today my uncle went to pick his kids up from school and my grandpa was picking up my aunts kids because she worked till 3:30 and he didn't think he looked that good, like pale, and stuff, but he said he was okay so he brought the kids to their house and their mom came home and said the same thing, but he said he was okay, so he went back to his house and later when he was going to be he said he had a really bad stomach ache and his chest hurt, so my other aunt to was staying with them for a while, while she was looking for a new apartment took him to the hospital, so right now my two uncles are their and my aunt and my grandma, and my mom might go later, but I want to know if he will be okay because I'm worried, he has never had a heart attack before but he has diabetis or however its spelled and something wrong with his hip..

It could be a sign of a heart attack but they won't know until they run test. Good thing is, he did go to the hospital. There is so much great medicine and procedures they can do if it is a heart attack. The important thing is he is in the right place to get the help he needs. Say a prayer for him and don't worry until you know there is something to worry about. Hang in there. I hope this was some help to you.

If he's been taken to the hospital, then he's probably being well-taken care of. Also, if he wasn't immediately aware he was having a heart attack (you know, like in the movies where it's very dramatic) then it probably wasn't a very serious one. Just try to stay calm and keep praying!

EDIT: I didn't say it wasn't serious--ALL cardiac events are serious. However, it is most likely not life-threatening in itself (the other factors could complicate things), since it had relatively mild symptoms and sounds like it was treated right away. There's no point in getting really alarmed before you know the test results.

I would recommend you to be one the safe side and take him to the doctors..even though it may not be serious getting a check up is doing the right thing b/c he as you said has diabetes hope everything goes well..

Damn. That's one long run-on sentence. Worry more about your grammar and spelling. Let the doctors take care of him.

First off, the first answer was dead wrong...just because he didn't know/didn't feel it right away does NOT mean it was not serious.
Having said that, I have seen a lot of heart attack victims, and I can tell you that an amazing number of them live and carry on quite normally. Whether or not he is o.k. depends on a few things:
1. Whether or not it was a heart attack. It sounds like it was, but you never know
2. How much damage was done
3. How his health was prior.
Diabetes definately does not help the situation but that isn't a death sentence for him either.
Honestly, it's too hard to say for sure, but if he made it to the hospital then there's a good chance he'll be fine.
