Haven't had chicken pox?!

Question: I'm 16, and I haven't had chicken pox yet (I know this for a fact because I had a blood test recently). I've heard that chicken pox is bad for you as an adult- that it can make you sterile or get shingles. Is this true? Should I get the vaccine, or is it no big deal?

true,, the chicken pox virus can be very bad in adults,, in men you can become sterile if the virus is really bad..years ago when i was a drill srgt. a young boy (26yrs, thats young too me) nearly died because of it.. so its up to you if you want to get the vaccine ,, i too have never had chicken pox.or mumps or measles and im now 54yrs old..its a choice you have to make on your own..

Its best to see your gp about it as i have heard the same thing and yes you can get chicken pox anytime in your life but you only get it once but iam not sure if its measles or chicken pox which can be dangerous but there is no harm in seeing your gp.
Good luck

im 13, and i've never had them, it is possible that you will never get them, but if you haven't had the vaccine, its best that you do

Yeah, when i was 6 i had the chicken pox, and eventually my dad's friend had it, and he was in his 30's. I felt bad whenever i saw him, i seriously thought he was going to die. >.<, i really recommend to get vaccinated.
